The week before Thanksgiving, Anthony, Will, Spencer, and I piled in the car and drove 4.5 hours to beautiful (and very populated) Bryson City, North Carolina! Katey's family has a rental up there and they gave the 12 of us keys to the cabin! Hot tub, friends Thanksgiving, hiking, and talented musicians made it a busy, and yet, relaxing weekend. We got there at 1:30 in the morning on a Friday night.. and entered the hot tub at 2:00AM. The bonding continued until 5:00AM when the four us still remaining decided it was time to call it a night. With couches, beds, and the floor taken- Andy found an empty closet and made a very comfortable bed out of it. I originally piled in a bed with Katey, Will, and Josh, but about an hour into it, I moved to the hard wood floor. This may sound uncomfortable but my back felt amazing the next morning! We also took a drive around the "city" of Bryson. Population: 1,200. We hit up the big spots like Churches Chicken and the grocery store Ingles. There was only one ping pong ball in the cabin so we went to find another. We searched the town high and low and couldn't find any! You'd think this might be disastrous. NOPE. The 8 boys kept themselves busy for all of Saturday night with just one ping pong ball. Tee and Josh are trying out for BLANK and they got plenty of footage of them throwing the ball against the ceiling, wall, banister and sinking it in the solo cup. Sidenote: if you haven't heard this song yet, watch it now!
This entry may seem sarcastic, but really, it was an amazing weekend!! Definitely a much-needed mini vacation. Thank you Katey and Tina for hosting us :)
