Yesterday morning, a bat flew into the building. Apparently it was insanity. The kinders were on the playground and when they opened the door to go back inside, the bat flew in with them. Imagine 50 kinders screaming bloody murder at like 8:45am. My two kids that go to first and third grade came back to the portable and shared the news with us.
A teacher resigned yesterday. Not before she created packets explaining "The real reason for leaving" which copied emails between her and the principal, as well as logs of terrible experiences she had with other teachers. The principal was running around trying to collect all 25 packets first thing in the morning (prior to bat incident). What really annoys me is that she left no plans for those kiddos - they will have different subs every day until they find a new teacher. Great use of instructional days.
My kids still think I'm gross each time I blow my nose, so let's hope this cold goes away soon!
